@AverageJoe1 Amazing references! I'm sure there was an article implicitly warning against the dangers of Edward Scissorhands back in the 90s... can't remember which magazine, though.

Kids in my kingdom hall
by Akid48 ini think my last post i said i went to a new congregation,i'm going to just talk about some of the shit i have seen in my congregation.. there was a kid trying to talk to a adult next to him i think it was his dad,the kid just started taping him because he wanted to tell him something and the dad gets mad then boom the kid gets elbowed.i look around to see if anyone saw him do that to his kid and nope or they didn't want to say anything about it and just like wtf.. in my old congregation, the younger kids would do random stuff in the middle of the meeting to not get board.
when the mom or dad got mad i would see then get dragged to the back of the kingdom hall and hear them start crying.when i was still mentally in i just didnt think about it at all when it would happen but when i woke up im just like thats fucked up..

@LV101 Hey, thanks for the support. Sorry for sullying your experience on the forum today. As for @OUTLAW's childhood memories in the Kingdom Hell's parking lot... poor bastard. As a parent now, if I saw that happen to another child, I'd collect the a abuser's head. So wrong. They wouldn't do it to a damn animal, so what makes them think it's okay to do it to a defenseless infant?

Tonight’s meeting
by lastmanstanding inthis post is for the lurking dub.
the pimc (physically in, mentally confused) lurker dub.
the guy who reads the watchtower stuff and scratches his head, sure something is amiss but not sure of what’s really happening.. it may also be of some interest to those curious of the nuts and bolts of watchtower’s methods of scripture twisting.. in tonight’s “digging for spiritual gems: (8 min.

Bible comes alive if we look for meaning behind the symbols it uses
by Ireneus inbible contains too much human thinking presented as though from god, thus much of its information brings dishonor to god.. yet it contains great beneficial truths behind the symbols it uses.
let us take the only two cases of miracles jesus performed without any request from anybody which would show the very purpose of his ministry:.
1) jesus healed a woman who “was bent over and could not straighten up at all.” (luke 13:11-13).

@Ireneous: "You will find earth was a paradise to start with filled with even more provisions (with all the now extinct species)...
He will also give you a CD with recordings of things of what yourself said while watching your indefinite number of past lives."
Come on, @Ireneous :S. Are you for serious?

@Ireneus: "Earth is filled with provisions for all its inhabitants."
Perhaps as "late comers" onto the scene of humankind, it can feel a bit like a sustainable and inhabitable home. But one look back at the earlier civilizations makes you realize the continued peril the earliest humans went through in order to maintain their existence as a species.
We know that the human species could be anywhere from a hundred thousand years according to Francis Collins, the physician and geneticist who oversaw the Human Genome Project - to two hundred thousand years old, as put forth by Richard Dawkins. For how many millennia was infant mortality and death during childbirth positively rife? Micro organism diseases were rampant and incurable. Death caused by the now-preventable tooth decay? Innumerable. In fact, the concept of a grandparent didn't exist until perhaps 30,000 years ago since the life expectancy was so transient.
Factor in volcanos, earthquakes and drastic climate changes and you'd have to think twice about the globe being a hospitable environment for the human species. Sure, with the advancement of technology, science and medicine, we've made something more accommodating out of it. It's the reason I can communicate ideas with you right now in the comfort of a warm dining room while it's five degrees Celsius outside. It's the reason my seasonal cold hasn't needlessly turned into pneumonia thanks to the flu meds I have in the cupboard, which is conveniently stocked with food I don't need to risk my life hunting for in the wild.
I am interested in the three phases you speak of (creation, preservation, destruction). What do you understand the destruction phase to be?
By simply saying such cosmological occurrences (eg: stars having an explosive birth AND death, galaxy collision courses) "would never happen" because it's an undesirable pattern break for your deity of choice doesn't mean it won't happen. That just sounds more like wishful thinking in the face of physics and astronomy. I cannot command for tomorrow to be a heatwave here so I can go to the beach any more than you can command the sun to stop exhausting its supply of hydrogen so that your perception of an incorruptible deity remains untarnished.

How about having a special undercover mode so PIMOs can browse the site with greater security?
by Island Man inwhen you visit the site it says jehovahs-witness big and bold.
a pimo might be browsing the site and a jw might come up behind him unexpectedly and notice he's visiting a site about jws other than jw.org, which can lead to the pimo reported for viewing apostate information.. to help remedy this risk, i was thinking about the possibility of having a button that activates an undercover mode where the title of the site is not prominently displayed so it's not easily apparent to an accidental eavesdropper that it's an apostate website.
also, the color-scheme and graphics can be different so that it doesn't look like the regular site.

@Ireneous: "When I was born on earth, it was like I was entering a super luxurious hotel room filled with everything I need taking care of all my possible tastes...".
But @Ireneous, what about those who were born in the more stricken parts of the globe? With that line of reasoning, they could definitively argue that God does NOT exist.
I don't know... I've read your stuff before. Surely you have more conclusive reasons that aren't subject to geographic variables?
Even the earth as a whole - our galaxy is on a collision course with the Andromeda galaxy. And whether our globe burns out from the sun exhausting its supply of hydrogen (as billions of stars have in the past), or we perish upon impact with Andromeda first - where will that leave this five star Chateau Marmont you speak of?

The false prophet strikes again! Didn't anyone notice?
by nowwhat? inlast year during the closing talk our favorite anthony morris lll in all his glory declared" armageddon is imminent!
" on the broadcast screen at every regional convention world wide!
well it has been a year now and if you look at the definition of imminent , we are well past the expiration date..

Wake Me Up Before You Jo-Ho
It's not right to say something is imminent when you admittedly have no clue of the "time or the hour". Would it be moral to tell people that the cure for cancer is about to be released by scientists imminently? How do you think those people will view you in, say five or ten years when their sick loved ones have perished from the disease and there's no release of said cure? Is it moral to be telling people for another century that this cure is still imminent? Is your claim justified by saying, "well, we're closer now to the cure than we were last century - that's for sure!" You don't have the right to preach imminence of the cure for cancer when, like Armageddon, you haven't the damnedest idea when it will happen. That's called dishonesty.
